Happy 56th Birthday to TAEKWON-DO!
The name “Taekwon-Do” was given to this Korean martial art by General Choi Hong-Hi of the ROK Army and it was approved on April 11, 1955.
Next grading is at 6pm on 18th April. I’ll open the hall about 5.30pm.
Congratulations to all those who passed their grading on the 21st February. Keep up the training, next grading for those eligible is the 4th April!

There will be a colour belt grading at 6pm on Monday 4th April 2011.
TKD Impact will be hosting a Instructor’s Course: 10am-4pm on Sunday 10th April 2011 in Crawley. The course will be conducted by Mr Russell Dennis 6th Degree. The course is designed to be an introduction to teaching Taekwon-Do and will cover many topics such as: Teaching skills, Class management, Communication skills, Health and Safety, School administration, How to open a school, etc.
The full course is available to red belts and black belts aged 16 years and above. Only Black Belts aged 18 or over will receive an Instructors Certificate. Red belts and Black belts aged 12-15 years can attend part of the course 10.00am-12.00noon to learn how to assist teaching in class.

The next colour belt grading will be Monday 21st Feb 2011 starting at 6pm prompt. Hall will be open at 5.30pm.

It is with great pleasure that you and your students are invited to the Taekwon-Do Impact Junior Championship at the Olympos Leisure Centre, Pasture Hill Rd, Haywards Heath, RH16 1LY, on Saturday 19th March 2011.
The competition is open to Colour belt (Yellow Tags and above) and Black Belts. It is split into two age categories: under 13’s; 13-17’s. The events are Sparring, Patterns, and Special Technique.

TKD Impact will be running an Umpire’s course on 26th February in Brighton. The course is an introductory course aimed mainly for those with little or no experience (i.e. red belts to 2nd degrees). There will be a higher level Umpires course in May/June run by ITF England.
